Every Batch,
Accounted For
Good tea is only as reliable as the process behind it. At Kamalpur, we track every batch from the field through tasting and dispatch with the same discipline, keeping timelines tight and standards consistent. Our process is deliberate and repeatable, and it is this consistency that has earned us trust over time.
Most of our premium production comes directly from our own estate. Alongside this, we also process carefully selected bought leaf under separate trademarks. The distinction is maintained at every stage so buyers know exactly what they are receiving.

Tea Processing
Kamalpur operates both as an estate and as a processing factory.
Estate Leaf
Tea plucked from our own garden forms the core of Kamalpur’s estate line. This is where we focus on quality, consistency, and long-term soil health.
Bought Leaf Processing
Leaves sourced from surrounding small growers are processed separately under our registered trademarks, including Halbari and Huliajhora. These teas serve different market requirements while using the same factory discipline.
Clear separation allows us to maintain transparency with buyers.
How we process.
Every time.
Our tea follows a structured process that preserves freshness and ensures consistent grading across every production run. By closely tracking seasonal production cycles and planning production strategically, we maintain reliable supply while reflecting the unique character of each flush.

The finest two leaves and the bud are harvested and transported quicklyto the factory.

Leaf is spread across withering troughs and checked every hour. Moisture is reduced under controlled airflow and monitoring to ensure a fine final cup.

The leaf passes through crushing, tearing, and curling stages to develop body and strength. At Kamalpur, we produce CTC exclusively — a focus that, over decades, has produced genuine mastery of the method.

CTC leaf undergoes fermentation under controlled conditions. Duration is specific to the batch and season. The factory manager's judgement here determines whether the final cup is bright and balanced or flat and uninteresting.

Precise drying stabilises the tea before it is graded and sorted by size: BP, BOP, OF, and PD. Each grade is packaged separately and dispatched as a distinct product.

Every batch is tasted and evaluated before dispatch to ensure that our teas have the same familiar taste every time.
Quality Control
Quality is monitored continuously rather than at the end of production.
Our factory team works closely with tasters to ensure that each lot meets expected profiles for strength, colour, and body.
